The Crawfordsville Police Department accepts applications for:


- Police Officers (Must be 21 to 35 years of age on date of hire.)
*IC 36-8-4-7 provides a waiver for a person not more than 40 years and 6 months of age who has completed 20 years of military service who received or is eligible to receive an honorable discharge.
- Reserve Officers


- Administrative Assistant
- Transcriptionist/Records Clerk/Receptionist
- Parking Enforcement
- Crossing Guard
- Janitor

 Application Process for Police Officer
Submit Application and all required documentation
Pass a physical agility test
Pass a written test
Background Investigation
Pass a polygraph examination
Interview with Police Commissioners
Pass a complete physical and psychological evaluation
Be granted approval through the Indiana Public Employees Retirement Fund
Complete the ILEA Basic Training Course within one year of hire.
