Yard Waste Site Dedication Set For Friday

The Public is invited the come and be a part of the dedication of the Crawfordsville/Montgomery County Yard Waste Site as it will officially become the Rodney Jenkins Memorial Yard Waste Site.

Jenkins was the long-time Crawfordsville Street Commissioner, before retiring in 2009 after working for the Street Department for 37 years. He then served as the Montgomery County Highway Department Director for seven years prior to his death on Aug. 18, 2018.

There will be a short ceremony near the main gate at the site beginning at 1 p.m. Friday.

The site, which is open to all city and county residents, is located at the end of Whitlock Avenue and is open from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. seven days a week. The site is closed on City observed holidays.
