WHEN: February

COST: $20/members, $30/Non-members

"Tri" the Indoor Ironman sponsored by the Crawfordsville Parks and Recreation Dept, the Crawfordsville Aquatic Center, and Advanced Chiropractic. You will have 30 days to complete the Ironman: 2.5 mile swim, 112 mile bike and 26.2 mile run/walk. This is a great way to challenge yourself at your pace and on your schedule! Participants will have use of the Aquatic Center during open lap swim hours, 3 free group fitness classes and use of a facility pass for the duration of the challenge. Registration includes a t-shirt!  


WHEN: April 8, 2023 at 1 pm


The Crawfordsville Parks and Recreation Dept., in partnership with Nucor Steel, hosts an Easter Egg Hunt each year at the Lew Wallace Study grounds. Children ages four and under can be helped by an adult, but for the 5-11 year olds we ask that parents remain at the wall while the kids search for treasures! The Easter Bunny will attend and is happy to pose for pictures. All Easter goodies have been provided by Nucor Steel and The Crawfordsville Park and Rec. Dept.


WHEN: May 1 - 30

WHERE: Anywhere! You can walk 500 laps on the indoor walking track at the Crawfordsville Community Center or you can walk a corresponding distance (37 miles) outside at the Sugar Creek Trail or your favorite park! Mileage logs will be provided when you sign up at the front desk of the Community Center. Upon completion of the Crawfordsville 500, participants will receive a t-shirt and be entered in a drawing to win a prize. The Annual Taste of Montgomery County will delight your taste buds with sumptuous delicacies from a delicious variety of local restaurants and caterers, and we'll get your feet dancing with awesome live music from three great regional bands, all on the gorgeous grounds of the General Lew Wallace Study and Museum. Yes! It's a pool party for dogs. In late August or early September each year dog owners can bring their precious pooches for a dip in Milligan Park Pool. We will drop the chlorine level and allow the pool to "go to the dogs" as our summer pool season draws to a close. There is a suggested donation of $3 per dog with all proceeds benefiting the Animal Welfare League of Montgomery County.


WHEN: Thursday, November 23, 2023 @ 8 am

This is an event that offers something for all ages and ability levels. Events include a 5k run, 2 mile run/walk and a 200 yd. Kids Run. Bring the whole family and enjoy an energetic beginning to Thanksgiving Day. The 5k run begins at 9:00am. Pies are awarded at random to 2 mile and 5k finishers. All participants in the Pie Run will receive a participation ribbon. The top three male and female 5k finishers will be awarded cash prizes. All proceeds benefit the Sugar Creek Trail.
